How to Use

1. Start with a clean scalp

Use your derma roller only on a freshly cleansed, completely dry scalp. Avoid using it over areas that are irritated, inflamed, sunburnt, infected, broken or actively experiencing a scalp condition.

2. Sanitise your roller

Before each use, disinfect the roller according to the manufacturer’s instructions and allow it to air-dry completely. Never share your derma roller with another person.

3. Section your hair

Divide the hair into sections to clearly expose the area of scalp you wish to treat. This helps prevent the roller from catching or pulling the hair.

4. Roll gently

Place the roller against the scalp and, using very light pressure, gently roll over each treatment area in several directions. Lift the roller between passes rather than dragging or twisting it across the scalp.

Microneedling should never feel aggressively painful. Do not press hard in an attempt to achieve better results.

5. Keep post-rolling care gentle

After microneedling, the scalp may temporarily feel sensitive or appear mildly pink. Avoid scratching, excessive touching, vigorous scalp massage and harsh or potentially irritating products immediately afterwards.

Only apply a topical product directly after microneedling if it has been specifically formulated and confirmed as suitable for use on freshly microneedled skin.

Microneedling temporarily compromises the skin barrier and may increase the penetration and therefore irritation potential of ingredients that are normally well tolerated on intact skin.

Keep your microneedling and oiling rituals separate, allowing your scalp time to recover before returning to your usual oil routine.

How Often Should You Use It?

Frequency depends on the needle length of your derma roller. Longer needles require significantly more recovery time than shorter cosmetic microneedles.

• Replace the roller if the needles become bent, blunt or damaged.
